Accessibility
Our commitment
Association E-Cosplay, a non-profit association governed by the French Act of 1901, publishes and operates E-Ticket, an online ticketing platform for associations available at https://ticket.e-cosplay.fr.
We want the platform to be usable by as many people as possible: blind and partially sighted people, deaf and hard-of-hearing people, people with reduced mobility, people with cognitive or attention difficulties, and anyone navigating with a keyboard or with assistive technology.
Buying a ticket or presenting a ticket at the entrance to an event must not depend on being able to use a mouse or to tell two similar colours apart.
What this page is
This page describes a voluntary undertaking by the association. No accessibility audit has been carried out to date.
It is therefore not a compliance statement within the meaning of the RGAA (Référentiel général d'amélioration de l'accessibilité, the French accessibility standard): such a statement presupposes an audit and a measured compliance rate.
We can claim neither that the platform is compliant nor that it is partially compliant. The actual level of compliance is not assessed.
This page will be replaced by a quantified compliance statement once an audit has been conducted.
Standard we aim for
We aim for RGAA 4.1, level AA.
Scope
This page covers the E-Ticket service available at https://ticket.e-cosplay.fr. The precise list of pages and screens covered is still [to be completed]: it will be settled at the time of the audit.
E-Ticket is a technical intermediary: events are organised by the organisers, who are solely responsible for their event, for their own terms of sale and for refunds. The content they publish is their responsibility. We provide the tool, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of every text or image published by an organiser.
Measures in place
These measures are part of the design of the service. They have not been validated by an audit.
- Contrast: contrast levels targeted at RGAA level AA, for text as well as for user-interface elements.
- Keyboard navigation: the features of the platform can be operated with a keyboard.
- Forms: every input field has an explicit label that is associated with the field.
- Images: images that carry information are given alternative text.
- Animation: the system "reduced motion" preference (
prefers-reduced-motion) is respected. - Display: the interface is responsive from 320 px wide.
Known limitations
We would rather state our weak points than keep quiet about them.
- No audit has been carried out: non-conformities that we are not aware of most likely exist.
- Content published by organisers may contain images without alternative text, poorly structured headings, or artwork with insufficient contrast.
- Third-party services built into the journey, in particular payment handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., are provided by our suppliers: their accessibility is not within our control.
- Documents generated or uploaded as part of the service have not been assessed for accessibility.
- No testing with assistive technology (screen reader, braille display, voice control) is documented to date.
Planned improvements
- Commission an RGAA 4.1 level AA audit on a representative sample of pages of the service.
- Then publish a quantified compliance statement, the list of non-conformities found, and a remediation timetable.
- Carry out testing with assistive technology and document the environment used.
- Document good writing practices for organisers: alternative text, heading structure, and contrast in artwork.
Audit target date: [to be completed].
Technologies used
The platform is built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The full list of technologies to be covered by the audit is still [to be completed].
Test environment
No test environment has been settled to date: browsers, operating systems and browser / screen-reader combinations are still [to be completed]. They will be specified once testing with assistive technology has actually been carried out.
